Le Camera I Use

Soooooo, yesterday on my previous blog, I promise to talk either about Gunpla or Camera. Now I have decided to make a blog post regarding my camera that I own, The Lumix G7 & Kodak M863. Two camera that become the powerhouse of how I take picture. Combo that symbolized my view of the world.

My "first" camera which is the Kodak is originally owned by my father. He bought it around 2009 or 2008, yeah around that year. In 2008 I'm only a 5 years old kid, so this little camera have witness my growth well over 17 years. It's actually very impressive this camera still can be use well over it's intended lifespan.

Enough with the history lesson, here are some picture that the Kodak camera has taken. Ranging from 2009 to around 2014.

After 2015, it went through a long sleep. Neverbeing used again, nor remembered again. Until 2021, that is my 2nd year of my vocational high school. In high school, I took multimedia as my vocational choice of study. During this time, I accidentally stumble upon my old friend. What shocked me more is that it's still alive. All of it's function still work, albeit some of it's original feature are degrading because of age. The screen, sound and auto focus has lose it's prime performance.

Here are some example of the picture I take after it's awoken from the long slumber.

"How about the Lumix? What the story?". My father bought it as a gift for me entering high school. I get it on December 2019, it was a big surprise for me. So immediately after I got it, I put it on the job. Lumix become my primary camera for basically everything. School event? Check, Vacation? Check, Competition? Check.

But unfortunately, the current lens for the Lumix suffer heavy fogging problem. It is better to just replace the lens than fixing it. The problem is, Lumix lens are stupidly expensive. For some reason, a lens that have the half size of other camera brand, is 2X more expensive. It's very strange for Panasonic to charge that amount of money for a M4/3 lens. Ohhh well, the only thing I can do is either change brand or just replace the lense. So yeah, right now my Lumix is unfortunately not available to use in future project. Really wish Panasonic would lower the price.
